Hello, I am Carolina, a Yin Yoga & Meditation Instructor and Ayurveda Wellness Coach.
My Journey with yoga started around 20 years ago, when I was writing my PhD thesis, and this wonderful practice gave me the break I needed to breath and just be present. From then on I have been practicing yoga and meditation with increasing consistency. The more I practice, the more I connect with the yoga philosophy, and the more yoga becomes a constant practice on and off the mat.
I started my practice with Hatha and then Vinyasa, but when I found Yin Yoga I fell in love. As one of my teachers always told us, yin yoga is like a meditation in shape, you find your pose, invite stillness and you clear your mind. I always left the yin classes feeling more clear headed and certain of what to do next. Present. This led me to follow the YinYTT and here I am.
As I am a forever student, the journey continues and I’m now training in Kundalini Yoga. My next goal is to integrate Kundalini with Yin Yoga and seasonal living.
Being also an Ayurveda Wellness Coach, in my classes I always strive to bring this seasonal living into the theming and sequencing, inviting the class to connect with their inner selves, following their breath and being present in the moment. I also like to use oracle cards to set intentions and affirmations for a relaxing flow, and inviting the class to pull an affirmation to use as an intention setting for the week, or simply sitting with whatever arises, while enjoying a comforting tea.
